By using Sermon Keeper, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (which may be hidden by Apple's relay service)
- Audio Recordings: Sermon recordings you create or upload
- Notes: Text notes you add during or after recordings
- Recording Details: Titles, dates, and other metadata you provide
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version
- App Settings: Language preference, subscription status
- Usage Data: App interactions for providing the service
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Precise location data
- Contacts or address book
- Biometric data
- Browsing history
- Sensitive personal information
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide transcription of your audio recordings
- Generate AI-powered summaries of sermons
- Display Bible verse text when you reference scripture
- Manage your account and subscription
- Improve and maintain the App
We do NOT use your data for:
- Training AI models
- Selling to third parties
- Advertising or marketing purposes
3. Third-Party Services
To provide our services, we share data with third-party providers for audio transcription, AI summary generation, Bible verse retrieval, and authentication/payments. These providers are located in the USA and process your data according to their own privacy policies.
Third-party services used by the App do not use your data for training their AI models.
4. Data Storage and Processing
- Local Storage: Your recordings and notes are stored on your device
- iCloud: If enabled, data syncs via Apple iCloud under Apple's privacy practices
- Cloud Processing: Audio recordings are temporarily uploaded to secure cloud storage solely for transcription purposes. Audio files are automatically deleted from cloud storage after processing is complete. We do not retain your audio on our servers.
- Text Processing: Transcribed text is temporarily sent to a third-party AI service to generate summaries. The text is not stored on our servers after processing.
When you delete the App, all local data is permanently removed from your device.
5. Data Security
We protect your information by:
- Using secure connections (HTTPS) for all data transfers
- Automatically deleting audio files from cloud storage after processing
- Relying on iOS built-in security for local storage
- Not permanently storing sensitive data on our servers
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request information about your data
- Delete: Remove your data by deleting the App
- Cancel: Cancel your subscription anytime through Apple Settings

7. Children's Privacy
Sermon Keeper does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
